Samassekou in pole position

Il Tempo journalist Alessandro Austini has reported today that Salzburg midfielder Diadie Samassékou is in pole position after the Giallorossi have looked for alternatives to Steven Nzonzi. The Frenchman’s request of €4.5 million in net wages is too high and Monchi’s search for another option has led him to Austria.

The Mali international is closer to the profile that Monchi is searching for. He can be bought for a much affordable price (€15-€18 million) and his wages are much more reasonable. He’s 1.77 meters tall (5’9”) and has the chance to grow in Rome. Contact between the parties has commenced as Monchi has been talking with the agent of the player as well as intermediaries.
