Roma turn to Milan Badelj

Il Corriere dello Sport: There’s been another phone call, two days ago. On the one end a director of Roma, on the other end, a confidant of Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj, a confidant he trusts. Milan Badelj is the big goal for the midfield, with the input of Spalletti who appreciates the value of Badelj even at his own expense: the Croatian scored the only goal in the Viola’a victory over Roma.

But it is not easy. The Della Valle family, owners of Fiorentina, are ready to ask a lot for the player. The trump card for Roma is that his contract expires in 2018 and the player will not renew his contract.

“It’s almost impossible that we’ll sign again,” said Dejan Joksimovic, the manager of the player,”but anyone who wants Milan must talk to Fiorentina, not to us.”

The message is clear: the agreement with Badelj will not be a problem. The signals from the player have arrived that he would accept Roma and appreciates the destination and the project, he wants Roma. But you have to find an agreement with Fiorentina, who don’t want to lose both Kalinic and Badelj in January. But with an offer of €12 million, Fiorentina could be tempted.
