From France: Sirigu wants Roma move, refuses to play for PSG

French newspaper L’Equipe has reported today that PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu wants to move from the Parisian club to Roma during the January transfer window.

Reportedly, Sirigu refused to play yesterday in PSG’s Champions League match against Shaktar Donetsk due to not wanting to be cup-tied if he were to make a switch in January to a club who is participating in European competition. Sirigu, who has played sparingly this season due to the arrival of Kevin Trapp, has been linked with the Giallorossi since last summer. It remains a possibility that the loan of Wojciech Szczęsny is terminated early due to troubles he has had in the capital and Sirigu could arrive in his place.
