Matteo Politano set for Sassuolo loan

After having been redeemed from Pescara on a permanent basis, Roma’s Matteo Politano is set for a loan move to Sassuolo, according to Sky Italia.

In the blind auction against Pescara, Roma bid €601,000 for the player and won the final half of his rights. Having spent his previous two seasons in Serie B, Politano is now ready to take the next step and play top-flight football. The attacker will join Sassuolo on a straight loan deal for the 2015-2016 season, but before he does this, he will sign a five year contract extension with the Giallorossi.

Politano’s future remains in the hands of Roma, but he will join Eusebio Di Francesco at Sassuolo on loan for the upcoming season.
