Garcia’s pre-Palermo press conference

Rudi Garcia spoke ahead of tomorrow’s match against Palermo:

Mattia is our striker, I have already talked about this. He’s very important and I’m counting on him for the second half of the season.

Is Destro convinced of staying at Roma?
You’ll have to talk to him, but I see him at 100% and I’m convinced of this.

Have you asked for anybody in the January market? What do you think of Salah?
There are many names – they’re just like flowers. My roster is okay even if there’s injuries – we’ll see when Castan returns. I hope we don’t have anymore serious injuries. This roster is built to last throughout the season and to win the Scudetto.

Lotito said he’d bet Roma won’t win the Scudetto – would you bet?
I have nothing to say about this because it seems that the executives (of Roma) already responded. I’m only saying not to give up on anything, we just have think about each match. We must return from Palermo with three points. As for the rest, I don’t want to bother with these things.

Will you play a 4-2-3-1 like the Derby?
They (the players) can play anywhere, we’re not without solutions. I’ve prepared two playing styles we can use at the beginning or during the match, it depends on the moment. We must recover the ball to put the opponent in danger. For me, the playing style isn’t everything, it depends on what the players do.
