It was a tale of two halves in the latest installment of the Derby della Capitale, as Roma and Lazio shared the spoils in the 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. The point earned by Roma takes them to the top of the Serie A table in a tie with Juve, who face Napoli in Campania this evening

It was Lazio who took advantage of dull Roma in the first 45 minutes when Stefano Mauri put Pioli’s ahead thanks to a careless giveaway by Radja Nainggolan, who had arguably his worst match since making his switch to the club.

Lazio then piled on just minutes later after Felipe Anderson, who ran circles around Roma’s defenders, beat Morgan De Sanctis at his near post to make it 2-0 to Lazio.

It looked like is was going to be Lazio who would go on to win the Derby, but then a transformed Roma came out for blood in the final 45 minutes.

It was none other than captain Francesco Totti who helped Roma climb out of the deep hole they dug themselves early in the match. The Giallorossi captain hit his team’s rivals with two goals in the opening 20 minutes of the half and capped off his final goal by taking a selfie underneath the Curva Sud as the match ended 2-2.
