Report: Roma closing in on Ezequiel Ponce

According to Sky Italia market journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma are closing in on a deal for Newell’s Old Boys striker Ezequiel Ponce.

Reportedly, the Giallorossi are close to agreeing to a deal that would see the young striker remain another season in Argentina. The figures? Roma will pay a reported €5 million for 60% of the player’s rights (the remaining belongs to a third party) and have already agreed to terms with the youngster. The news comes on the heels of Perugia announcing they have acquired striker Kevin Mendez in conjunction with Roma, who sent the player to the Umbrian side on loan for 18 months.
