Garcia asks for Gervinho, Seydou Keita to remain for Udinese match

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Rudi Garcia has asked Roma’s hierarchy to speak with the Ivory Coast and Mali football federations to ask that attacker Gervinho and midfielder Seydou Keita remain up until 6 January’s match against Udinese.

Gervinho and Keita were set to leave for their countries after their holiday to train ahead of the African Cup of Nations. However, Rudi Garcia has insisted that he needs the players for the match in Udine and has pleaded with Roma’s leadership to open dialogue with the football federations of the players’ countries to ask for the extended stay.
