Daily Star: United make Strootman #1 priority

British tabloid The Daily Star claims Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has made Kevin Strootman his number one priority for the upcoming transfer market.

Reportedly Van Gaal, who has been monitoring Strootman since his ACL injury, may instruct United’s hierarchy to launch a bid of nearly €38 million for the former PSV man. However, because of the insistence of president James Pallotta and the impending absence of Seydou Keita, Roma appear unwilling to allow the Dutch international to leave Trigoria.
