Transfer rumours: Cole out, Perin in

‎Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is, reportedly, in Milan in order to facilitate deals for Ashley Cole and Marco Borriello.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sabatini has flown to Milan in order to hear any potential offers for both Borriello and Cole whose time in the capital seems to be up. Reportedly, the main interest seems to be coming from the MLS, a destination that Cole seemed likely to land up at when his contract with Chelsea expired but a surprising move to Rome this past summer was his eventual decision.

Rai Sport on the other hand believes that Roma are trying to secure a goalkeeping signing after unconvincing performances by Morgan De Sanctis in the Champions League. It is believed that Roma will either try sign Petr Cech (displaced at Chelsea by Thibaut Courtois) next month or wait it out until the summer when they will focus their attention on Genoa’s Mattia Perin.
