It was an open match filled with goals at the Olimpico as Roma and Inter showed little willingness to defend as the two clubs combined for 6 goals as Rudi Garcia’s men came out on top 4-2 in the capital.

With injuries to Jonathan and Yuto Nagatomo, Roma looked to impose themselves on the flanks and take advantage of Inter’s two suspect replacements in Dodo and Huge Campagnaro.

Ivory Coast international Gervinho found himself with ample space throughout the match and plenty of opportunities during the 90 minutes. Samir Handanovic did well to keep the former Arsenal man off the score-sheet for the first 20 minutes, but he wasn’t able to do anything when Adem Ljajic crossed the ball across the face of the goal and found the winger wide open as Gervinho tapped it in to put Roma up 1-0.

The Giallorossi’s lead wasn’t held for long as Andrea Ranocchia headed home a corner kick and drew the game level 1-1 heading into the break.

Roma came out of the dressing room with an “all-out-attacking” mindset as Jose Holebas and Miralem Pjanic added their names to the score-sheet as Inter’s only consolation came from a Daniel Osvaldo goal.

Roma still remain 3 points behind Juventus in the Serie A table and will Sassuolo next weekend.
