Medical Report: Leandro Castan to undergo brain surgery

A medical report issued by AS Roma has cleared the doubts on the fitness problems of Brazilian defender Leandro Castan.

After months of mystery, Castan’s (27) physical problems now have a clear diagnosis: the Roma defender is suffering from a congenital form of cavernoma in his cerebellum.

The Brazilian will undergo brain surgery in the first days of December, in order to allow him to continue playing football at professional level.

A further press statement will be released by Roma after the surgery.
