Report: Darmian is Roma’s top priority

According to Italian outlet Panorama, Roma will be shopping vigorously for a left-back in January — and the Giallorossi have, reportedly, made Torino’s Matteo Darmian their top priority.

Rudi Garcia has, reportedly, not been convinced by Ashley Cole and has given the “green light” to Walter Sabatini to begin the hunt for a left-back. The club has reached out to Barcelona’s Adriano and are also considering Palermo’s Achraf Lazaar, but Roma are extremely eager to bring Darmian, an Italian international, to the club. It’s unknown if Urbano Cairo, the president of Torino, would be willing to part with the wide-man as early as January, but Roma will try and tempt the president with an offer.
