It was smooth sailing for Rudi Garcia’s men at the Stadio Olimpico as the Giallorossi cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over Torino this evening.

Roma got back to winning ways after consecutive losses to Bayern Munich and Napoli, keeping themselves firmly in second place in Serie A.

The Giallorossi were able to exploit Ventura’s men on the flanks as Adem Ljajic and Gervinho found themselves with several opportunities throughout the match to test Torino’s goal.

After an onslaught of shots towards Belgian goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet, Roma finally found their opening goal as Greek fullback Vasilis Torosidis fired it past the former Bari-man to give the Giallorossi a 1-0 lead.

Torino attempted to answer quickly but Fabio Quagliarella’s attempts were saved easily by Morgan De Sanctis, who was hardly tested throughout the evening.

Roma then doubled their lead thanks to Seydou Keita, as the Giallorossi entered the break up 2-0 over the Turin-based club.

The result was sealed in the second half thanks to Adem Ljajic’s curling goa in the 58th minute. The Serbian’s goal, however, took a back-seat to the return of Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, who entered the match for Seydou Keita after being out of action for nearly 8 months due to an ACL injury.
