Roberto Policano hopes Roma-Napoli is only about football

Marred with controversy after last season’s Coppa Italia tie in Rome, former Roma and Napoli midfielder Roberto Policano spoke with Radio Radio and expressed his hope that the match between his two former clubs on Saturday is not spoiled by “external events”.

“Napoli-Roma? I believe and hope that in the end, common sense will prevail. Football shouldn’t be spoiled by external events, I know and understand the fans. Certain attitudes on the field could be harmful, I think that on the part of the players  — there should be maturity.”
