Iturbe returns to training: expected to play vs. Bayern

AS Roma released today’s training report on their official website where it was revealed that winger Juan Iturbe return to training and is, according to several Italian outlets, ready to play Tuesday against Bayern. Here is the club’s report:

“After yesterday’s convincing league win against Chievo, the Giallorossi were straight back to work this morning. It was the first practice before Champions League football returns to the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening.

Garcia’s side kicked off the session at around 11 am. Those who played yesterday engaged in a recovery session, while the rest of the group got stuck in to some possession drills. The squad then played a friendly match on a smaller pitch before focusing on finishing exercises.

Iturbe took part in some of the group session, training away from his team-mates for the other half of the practice.

Borriello trained away from the squad and Castan followed a personalized session.

Strootman and Balzaretti were given a rest. Keita had a physiotherapy session.

The players will be back on the training field at 10:30 am tomorrow to continue preparations for the Bayern Munich clash. Coach Garcia will give a press conference at 13:15 pm.”
