Leandro Paredes: I am happy to have chosen Roma


An interview with Leandro Paredes will appear in tomorrow’s AS Roma Match-day Program, here are his words:

The match against Chievo…
It will be a difficult match. Those at the Olimpico will help us get a result. We have all the ability to do well in front of our fans, we have to stay calm and manage the game.

What was your experience like last year in Verona?
Very nice, I got injured and for the first two monnths, their medical staff monitored me very carefully. I am grateful because they treated me very well and becoming accustomed was easy.

A downside of that period?
I wasn’t well, as I said, I didn’t play much.

What type of manager is Corini?
I was fine with him, he is very strong and likes to have long talks with his players.

How do you feel with Garcia?
He’s a prepared and attentive manager. He talks to us youngsters a lot and helps us in training. Also, the experienced players give us very important tips, Totti and De Rossi encourage us to give our best. My job is to train to the fullest and to be ready whenever the coach calls on me.

Who did you speak with first before deciding to come to Italy?
With my family and with other Argentines who were at Boca. I am very happy to have chosen Roma.

With whom, in particular?
With Lamela, we are very good friends and we talk quite often.

Who among your teammates has impressed you the most from the technical point-of-view?
Totti, Pjanic, De Rossi…
