English Press: Roma looking to buy Yanga-Mbiwa earlier than expected

English outlet Chronicle Live has just reported that AS Roma are hoping to sign on-loan center-back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa before the summer in order to get a cut-rate price.

Newcastle paid around £6.7 million to Montpellier for his services in January 2013 but the former French international was seen as a surplus to requirements by Alan Pardew, who allowed the player to leave and join Roma on loan. The Giallorossi have an option to buy the player set-at £4.5 million on top of the £1 million loan fee this summer. Reportedly, Roma will meet with the English club to discuss a lower rate in hopes that they will be able to sign the player outright before the summer window.
