Former Roma defender Mehdi Benatia talks more on his Bayern move

Former Roma defender Mehdi Benatia spoke to about his move to the German champions this summer. The Moroccan will face his former team on 21 October in Rome.

“During the last market I had many offers, but when I felt that Bayern Munich wanted me, for me, it was clear that I would continue my career thereRoma are a great club in Italy and it’s a club with one of the best prospects in Europe, but Bayern are among the top three teams in the world. I wanted to come to Munich to win many titles. It was impossible to refuse an offer from Bayern. Differences between Munich and Rome? My wife and I are very happy in Munich of Bavaria. The city is beautiful, clean, and cozy, even if people recognize me, they leave me alone. It’s very different from what happens in Morocco or in Rome, where it was impossible for me to walk on my own. The captains?  Lahm reminds me of Totti,  always has been with the same club and always gives top-level performances and is always modest. They’re real champions.”
