Roma remained perfect on the season thanks to late-match heroics from Miralem Pjanic, who curled a free-kick past goalkeeper Antonio Mirante in the 88′ minute to give the Giallorossi at 2-1 win.

Garcia’s men gained their fourth win of the season and remained tied at the top of the Serie A table with 12 points. The Giallorossi will host Verona at the Olimpico this weekend, as they look to remain perfect on the season.

Roma were the more dangerous team throughout the match, but they found it difficult creating a finishing product as notable chances from Gervinho and Totti went wide of the mark. “Parma are not an easy team to beat and they were playing very defensively, but we had a great first half and used our possession well,” said Garcia.

Parma tied the match in the second half thanks to a goal from left-back Paolo De Ceglie but it was Roma who were able to grab the final goal of the game as Roma’s Bosnian midfielder hammered home a signature free-kick to give the Giallorossi all three points.
