Corriere della Sera: Destro apologizes for substitution reaction

According to today’s edition of Corriere della Sera, Mattia Destro has apologized to his teammates for his poor reaction after being substituted in Sunday’s match against Cagliari.

After having scored a goal and missing additional chances to add to his tally, Rudi Garcia replaced Destro with Miralem Pjanic in the second half of Sunday’s match against Cagliari. Destro was visibly frustrated when he was called off the pitch by the Frenchman, who was asked about Destro’s reaction after the match, “Destro’s reaction? You’ll have to speak with him.”

Reportedly, the striker spoke in front of the entire team and apologized for his reaction, something Rudi Garcia was pleased to see him do. The Roma manager may now be ready to hand Destro a start alongside Francesco Totti and Gervinho for today’s match against Parma.
