Sabatini and Baldissoni travel to London: the updates

Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni and sporting director Walter Sabatini have travelled to London to conclude Roma’s transfer market.

Reportedly, the trip is a decisive moment in the future of Mehdi Benatia. Roma Press has learned that Chelsea have re-emerged as a candidate for the Moroccan’s services along with Bayern Munich. It is still possible that Benatia signs Roma’s contract offer and remains for the season, but this trip is an indication that Roma are preparing for a future without Benatia. As of now, the offers received from Bayern have been far below €35 million valuation of Benatia, but they’re still listening. If the Moroccan is indeed sold, the Giallorossi seem to have already found his replacement: Manchester City’s Matija Nastasić. Sky Italia reports that if the Moroccan is sold, the former Fiorentina man will immediately be bought as his successor.
