Il Messaggero: Summit between Garcia and Sabatini

This morning’s edition of Il Messaggero claims sporting director Walter Sabatini and manager Rudi Garcia will hold a brief summit on Thursday or Friday to discuss the final chapter of the club’s transfer market.

Roma have conducted most of their business early in the window, something Rudi Garcia specifically requested, but there are still some matters that must be discussed. Reportedly, Garcia and Sabatini will go over the current offers for Mattia Destro and Adem Ljajic.

German club Wolfsburg have been pushing for Destro since the early days of summer. The current offer is near €25 million but neither Roma nor Destro are convinced by a potential sale. Meanwhile, Schalke 04 and Dortmund have tabled offers of €12 million for Roma’s Adem Ljajic, but the Giallorossi are looking for €15-€16 million.

The pair will also discuss bringing Monaco’s Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, who Roma have agreed to personal terms with, but haven’t reached an agreement with the French club. If Carrasco is purchased, Roma will focus their efforts into offloading Ljajic.
