Reports: Carrasco in, Ljajic out

Il Tempo and La Gazzetta dello Sport are both reporting today that Roma are prepared to purchase Monaco’s Yannick Ferreira Carrasco while sacrificing winger Adem Ljajic.

Roma are closing in on the young Belgian winger for a fee of €5 million and the player will, reportedly, sign a 5 year contract worth €1.7 million per season. This would mean that Roma’s wide players include: Juan Iturbe, Alessandro Florenzi, Adem Ljajic, Gervinho, and, of course, Carrasco. With this in mind, Roma are looking to offload the Serbian, Adem Ljajic, for a fee of around €15 million. The only team that has come forward and expressed concrete interest has been Schalke 04. It remains to be seen how Roma will handle the situation if Carrasco inevitably signs, but if he does – it is expected that the former Fiorentina man will be sacrificed.
