Report: Gervinho unhappy with extension proposal

Gervinho and his agent are expressing some discontent towards Roma’s management, according to today’s editions of Il Tempo and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gervinho’s (27) stay is one of the few fundamental points for next season. However, some frictions have emerged between the player’s agent, Pascal Boisseau (who is also managing Rudi Garcia and Seydou Keita), and Roma current director of football Walter Sabatini. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have proposed an increase from the current €2.3 million per season to €2.9 million. Boisseau, however, is pushing for a wage around the €3.5 million mark. This has caused a quarrel between Sabatini and the player’s spokesperson.

Gervinho is currently in Côte d’Ivoire, having been granted few extra days from the club to sort some family issues. According to Il Tempo, the wage issue will be likely solved during the autumn.
