Dodo’s agent speaks after Inter move

The agent of former Roma left-back Dodo, Roberto Calenda, spoke to after his client moved from Roma to Inter for nearly €9 million.

“It is a choice made in peace with Roma, I want to reiterate this. We chose the best opportunity for the boy. In Milan, Mazzarri’s tactical organization will favor him and, despite the various offers of big Italian clubs, we have chosen the Nerazzurri.”

“They were very serious and believed in the boy when he suffered a serious knee injury. Sabatini wanted (him) to sign the contract on the day of his operation and that was a great gesture that neither I nor the boy will ever forget. He was fine in the capital, even though the media continually hit-out at him.”

His future?
“It was a decision made with peace after evaluating everything. Contact with Inter began late last season and it’s an excellent piece of business for Roma, who had taken the player on a free transfer. Dodo will always remain very attached to (these) colors but he’s very happy to move to a big club like Inter.”
