Basa deal on “standby”


According to TuttomercatoWeb, a deal for Marko Basa is in “standby mode” because of Lille wanting Roma to raise their offer for the Montenegro international.

Reportedly, a deal for the player has stalled because Lille manager René Girard has insisted that Basa remains, even though he has already agreed to a deal with Roma and wants to move to the capital. Lille will now ask Roma to increase their €3m offer to €4m-€5m for the player.

A deal is still expected to be reached; Roma will likely move quickly for the player because Rudi Garcia wants to have him available for their American tour.
