FIFA Agent Gianfranco Cicchetti touches on Roma’s market

Italian FIFA agent Gianfranco Cicchetti spoke to AS Roma Radio this morning and spoke about the Giallorossi’s market.

News on Benatia?
“There will be a ‘tug of war’ between Benatia’s entourage and Sabatini. The player wants to leave and is waiting for a conrete offer to come Roma’s way, he has already been in contact with various clubs. We’ll know more when the preseason starts. Most of the market is stuck in this situation because the World Cup is still going on.”

Is there any truth to the rumors about Eto’o?
“The player has an offer on the table from Monaco for two years and €6m per year. Italian teams can’t match this offer, if he wants to come and play in Rome, the player have to ask for half of this. The good thing is that he has an EU passport and doesn’t take up a non-EU spot.”

The situation of Ferreira Carrasco?
“Carrasco isn’t Roma’s first choice, but an alternative for the wing. He’s Sabatini’s 4th or 5th choice. Monaco doesn’t want to lose him for free next year and they could sell him at a lower price.”

Adriano Correia is close to Roma?
“This deal has gotten the go-ahead for months, the player is the first target for the full-back role. An agreement has been reached with the player’s entourage. What slows down the negotiation is Luis Enrique, who wants to find an alternative to Jordy Alba. The player can arrive for €10m on a 4 year deal for €2.5m plus bonuses per season.”

What about the situation of Ljajic?
“No offer has been received for the player. The player is part of the project, but if the clubs changes its mind then they’ll find an alternative. There’s a 70-80% chance that Ljajic will remain at Roma.”
