Il Messaggero: Roma ready to launch Cerci bid

According to today’s edition of Il Messaggero, Walter Sabatini and Roma are ready to launch their initial bid €12m to attempt to bring Torino’s Alessio Cerci back to the capital.

Torino, who value the player at €20m, will likely reject the initial bid, but Roma are wanting to at least open negotiations with the club. Reportedly, Roma believe that Cerci’s lack-of performance at the World Cup will help lower Torino’s asking price for the player. Cerci, who has refused a contract extension with Torino, has already made it clear to his representatives that he wants to play for Roma, again.
