La Gazzetta dello Sport: Zanzi, Baldissoni fly to New York

A meeting to define the market: this is what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this afternoon. Roma CEO Italo Zanzi and general manager Mauro Baldissoni are to set to meet with president James Pallotta this week in order to define the final details of their summer assault.

According to the report, Pallotta is set to approve a €30m (not including potential sales) budget for this summer’s transfer market. Walter Sabatini, who will not make the trip due to ongoing negotiations with clubs, has outlined his plan for the market and will give Pallotta a detailed list of the players he is looking to bring to the capital.

The first name that is set to arrive is Salih Uçan, who will likely immediately be sent on loan to either Hellas Verona or Empoli. Sabatini’s next mission will be finding a forward and left-back. The names have been consistent: Iturbe, Cerci, Muriel, and Aubameyang are all possible candidates in attack, with Aubameyang being the most likely, as admitted by his agent, Oscar Damiani, “Sabatini likes him, but he has signed long-term contract at Borussia Dortmund. However, he would like to come back to Italy.”
