Di Marzio: Roma interested in Wolsburg’s Ivan Perisic

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia reported this afternoon on his official website that Roma are interested in Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perišić. Here are his words:

“A new name for Serie A. He’s more affordable than Luiz Gustavo or Ricardo Rodriguez: AC Milan, Juventus and Roma have asked about Ivan Perisic of Wolfsburg. He’s an interesting guy, 25-years-old, and was man of the match yesterday with Croatia after scoring one goal and having one assist. Perisic is a winger, he can play on both the right and left. His versatility is his strength, which he demonstrated both at Dortmund and, in this recent year, Wolfsburg. His performance in this World Cup has attracted the interest of our (Italian) teams, but to find a deal, you have to enter the competition. Even with British club Everton are after him. His style can be adapted to our (Italian) league: he has great pace,a good shot, and helps a lot in defense. There are the first contacts: the Italians look to Perišić.”
