Di Marzio: Basa in view for Roma

Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed Roma and Lille are close to reaching an agreement for the services of the Montenegrin centerback.

“A work in progress, Roma builds the future. There are many tracks to reinforce the defense, the most accepted is the one that leads to Marko Basa, a central defender, born in 1982, owned by Lille. The idea of the Giallorossi is that Basa would replace the spot vacated by Rafael Toloi, for who Roma haven’t yet reached an agreement with Sao Paolo (his parent club). Basa is really liked by Rudi Garcia, and Roma is pushing to please their manager: the agreement with Lille seems to be getting closer on the basis of €3m. Basa in view, Roma has chosen their next defender.”
