Donati open to Roma move

Bayer Leverkusen right-back Giulio Donati was interviewed this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport and seemed very open to a potential move to AS Roma:

What’s your opinion of Garcia?
“He expressed a great game that’s entertained and surprised (people). Now the hard part will be to repeat that on the same level, but the team has what it takes to do it.”

You played with Destro and Florenzi for the U-21’s, what’s your relationship like with them?
“They’re two good players and good guys. I was also in the youth team with Mattia, I played against them a lot. Alessandro and I have always played together in the national team and also on Playstation.”

Sabatini and Voeller spoke about you at Trigoria: what was the outcome?
“I haven’t spoken to Rudi in awhile because I’m on vacation. Soon there will be a meeting between him and my agent and they’ll talk about it.”

Do you like Roma?
“It’s a great team, with a serious and important club behind it. But, above all, has a great project and I like that they’re interested. Anyway, I’m fine in Germany and in a great club, we’ll see what happens.”

Would the role of vice-Maicon be constricting?
“Absolutely not: I would have the opportunity to learn a lot from a champion like him.”
