Il Tempo: Roma pushing for Cerci

This morning’s edition of Il Tempo has claimed that Roma are pushing extremely hard to bring Alessio Cerci back to the capital.

Reportedly, Walter Sabatini has been in contact with Torino’s president Urbaino Cairo over the past few days in order to gauge the will of the president, who is reluctant to sell after having just sold Ciro Immobile to Borussia Dortmund. Il Tempo claim Roma are prepared to offer Torino €15m plus players for the services of Cerci.

While Torino’s president is reluctant to sell the player, Cerci, who grew up in Roma’s youth system, is said to be extremely keen on a move to the capital since he’d be returning back home (he was born in Velletri) and he’d be given a substantial raise if he were to sign with the Giallorossi (his current contract is worth only €800,000 per season and runs until 2016).
