Roma consider Walter Samuel

According to Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma are considering a move for Argentine center back Walter Samuel.

Roma believe Samuel would bring a great deal of experience, regardless of what happens with Mehdi Benatia. Samuel would be very useful next season when Roma have to play multiple games every week due to European commitments. Di Marzio also reported that the relationship between Roma and Samuel is still strong and the capital based club are very tempted by Samuel.

Samuel spent four seasons at Roma between 2000 and 2004, where he was a crucial member of the 2001 Scudetto winning squad. The center back is now a free agent after his contract at Internazionale expired this month.
