Totti ready for the Champions League with Roma

Francesco Totti was interview by Sky Sport this morning and spoke of his delight to be playing in the Champions League with Roma:

“The Champions League is the top league of international football and is a lot stronger than the Italian one, there are very competitive teams and great players. We’ll have to deal with it in the best way possible and hope we can have an even better season that the this one, even though we know it will not be easy. Laately, the British and Spanish clubs have mastered it (the Champions League), but the Italian clubs are also strong. Until a few years ago, it was Italian teams who were obtaining important results, we have to get back to those levels.”

The Roma captain went on to comment on the Mehdi Benatia transfer speculation:
“Benatia? He’s a strong player, who you could also say is at an international level. Benatia is a top player and these players need to remain. I will not get into corporate matters if there are problems. I just hope that we can find an agreement. The national team? There is a beautiful group of young Italians and I really hope that they can make a good impression. Destro or Rossi? Why not both, from the outside, it’s easy to make this choice. Destro is more of a central forward, while Rossi is more of a playmaker, we need to see what model the mister decides on. He’ll decide based on that.”
