Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent speaks

Gianluca Di Domenico, the agent of Swiss leftback Ricardo Rodriguez, spoke today to VoceGiallorossa.it, a day after market guru Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Roma were interested in the defender:

There have been contacts or other expressions of interest on the part of Roma with Wolfsburg and for him?
“There has never been a contact in recent times. I met Sabatini three years ago in Rome when they were playing a Europa League match between Lazio and Zurich, I went in his office along with Graziano Battistini, Rodriguez was talked about but he was a player that already cost a lot for the team. Ricardo does not need advertising or false information, he deserves this market, it would be wrong of me to act in this way, but between our company and Roma there was no contact. Roma may have called Wolfsburg, but I do not know anything about this.”

His salary is in line with the parameters of the Giallorossi?
“I think so, if Roma can pay Totti, I do not see why they wouldn’t be able to pay Rodriguez ( laughs).”

The player would appreciate going there (Roma)?
“Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, any player would go, but now the boy is focused on the World Cup.”

Are there other clubs interested?
“Clubs are always interested in a twenty-one year old, who is one of the best in the Bundesliga, but there haven’t been contacts.”
