Roma set Benatia price

The price of Benatia is set at 40 million.

According to Il Tempo, a price has been set for the Moroccan by AS Roma after the center back spoke earlier this week about potentially leaving the Capital based club.

On Wednesday there was a meeting between the Giallorossi and Benatia’s agent to consider the situation: Roma did not want to sell the defender but at the same time they did not want to agree to a renewal. Benatia asked for a new contract until 2019 and salary increase from 1.2 million to 2.8 million (net) per season.

The sale of the Moroccan could therefore be possible if Roma received a fair offer. A potential deal could be done for around 35 million then according to reports from the capital, with both Manchester City and Bayern Munich interested.
