Perrotta on his former club

Former Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta was a guest on Massimo Boccucci’s radio show Pieces of 90 this morning and spoke about his former team and their campaign.

Garcia and Benitez have passed the season with honors?
“Garcia definitely: nobody expected it, even if you knew his value. Napoli also has had a great season, but more was expected of them to compete for the title.”

Will Roma begin next season as the “anti-Juve”?
“The past is completely erased. Roma know they’ve done something that’s important and now we need to see the mechanisms in the locker room after a season that was very exciting.”

Who will win the Champions League?
“I hope Real Madrid also because there is a piece of Italy there. Although, I do have a strange feeling: they’ll have to be very careful because Atletico are capable of anything.”

Is Prandelli’s Italy ready for the World Cup?
“We won’t begin as the favorites even though the qualifications have been easy and a good group has been created. But even so, we weren’t the favorites in Germany in 2006. In a short tournament, mental and physical condition come into play, as well as history. We’ll go far.”
