Destro happy with campaign

Roma striker Mattia Destro spoke before entering the UssiRoma awards held in the capital:

“The merits of my season are due to all the staff and my teammates who have been with me from the beginning and have done an amazing job. It was certainly an interesting start, an injury kept me out for a long time but the important thing for any athlete is working and believing in himself. Hard work always pays off. The World Cup? I was hoping to be in the 30, I worked a lot and I’m glad. Brazil is two weeks away, the coach will make his choices. Florenzi? As a teammate, I would have taken him but it is not for me to say. Tips for Roma in the market? The club will make the right choices for the perfect team. The questions on the code of ethics should not be directed at me, it’s not for me to decide. Italy is a great team, we’ll give everybody a difficult time.”
