Burdisso excited to play former team

Former Roma defender Nico Burdisso, who is now at Genoa, spoke today about facing his former club for the first time:

“I’m excited for Sunday, but I’m proud to have left at the right time. I raised my hand and I said, ‘I’ll stop here, I have to think about my career.’ Prandelli’s code of ethics? It’s always been different, it (the elbow to Pjanic) happened at a time where it shouldn’t have happened. I always joked with De Rossi about what happened with Chiellini, but if the elbow had been thrown by Paletta or Ranocchia, who are in the balance, maybe it would have been applied. Regrets in the red and yellow? No Scudetto.”
