Prandelli talks Roma, World Cup

Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli commented on the Serie A campaign and, again, reiterated that neither Luca Toni nor Francesco Totti will be called for the World Cup:

“The Old Lady managed to win a deserved championship despite a lot of pressure, their excellent performance is also due to the great season of Roma. Our football, from a technical view, is not as bad as some may believe. Juve and Roma play interesting football. Surprise of the season? Absolutely it’s Toni, he is back in the game and working great. He’s rediscovered the joy and lightheartedness that he didn’t have for years. Is Toni off the list for the World Cup? I won’t talk about him or Totti in particular, they deserve great respect . In case of an emergency, I’ll know who to call, but there’s a schedule and that’s the road we have to use.”
