Match Summary

Rudi Garcia’s men continue their incredible season as the Giallorossi were able to see off Clarence Seedorf’s men at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to a 2-0 scoreline. The win keeps Roma in 2nd place as the Giallorossi now await to see what Juventus do this weekend against Sassuolo.

The French manager will be rather pleased with his team’s performance; Roma were hardly every pressured by the Rossoneri, who had 4 shots on goal, most of which came from outside Roma’s penalty area.

Roma took the lead in the 43rd minute as Miralem Pjanic scored, arguably, the goal of the season as he sliced through 4 Milan defenders then knocked the ball past Milan’s Christian Abbiati.

As the second half commenced, Roma seemed to hardly skip a beat as they picked up where they left off in the first half. Chances were aplenty as Francesco Totti, Adem Ljajic, and Radja Nainggolan all had opportunities to increase Roma’s lead but it was Ivorian winger Gervinho who was able to double the Giallorossi’s lead to 2-0.

Next up, Roma travel to Sicily to take on bottom of the table Catania.
