PSG interested in Rudi Garcia

According to La Repubblica, Rudi Garcia is being considered by PSG as a potential replacement for current manager Laurent Blanc.

After PSG’s were eliminated by Chelsea from the Champions League, in a rather embarrassing manner considering they won the first tie 3-1 at home – only to be knocked out by Demba Ba’s 87th minute winner at Stamford Bridge,  the executives at the Parisian club with less than satisfied with Blanc’s management and have already begun to search for potential replacements.

It’s now being reported that Roma manager Rudi Garcia is the favorite for the job should Blanc fail to earn a contract extension (his current deal expires this summer). Roma are rumored to be working on a new contract for Garcia (his current deal expires June 2015) amd Repubblica mention that President James Pallotta will meet with CEO Italo Zanzi and executives Mauro Baldissoni and Walter Sabatini in America within the coming weeks to discuss Garcia’s new contract and to finalise Miralem Pjanic’ contract renewal.

Pjanic’ contract will likely be extended until 2017 and will reportedly see him earning 3.5 million euros (net) plus bonuses.
