Match Summary

Another match, another win for the Roma as the Giallorossi set a club record for most wins in a single season: 25. Rudi Garcia’s men achieved another win over Vicenzo Montella’s men as the former Roma player now manager still hasn’t been able to beat his former club as La Viola, once again, fall to the Giallorossi 1-0 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Tuscany.

Rudi Garcia’s men were in control throughout the 90 minutes as La Viola only had 3 shots on goal as Morgan De Sanctis was hardly tested throughout the match.

Roma looked the most likely to get on the scoresheet first as Gervinho scuffed a sitter and robbed the Giallorossi of an opportunity to take the lead early. Controlling the play and pace, Roma finally made Montella’s men pay as Adem Ljajic, making his first return to the Franchi since his move to Roma, slide the ball past Neto to Radja Nainggolan who tapped home for the lone goal of the match and gave Roma the three points.

Next weekend the Giallorossi will host Milan at the Stadio Olimpico as Clarence Seedorf’s men enter the match on a 5 match winning streak.
