Udinese’s Giaretta not shying away from Juve

Cristiano Giaretta, the sporting director of Udinese, spoke today about Roma, Juve, and his team’s upcoming match with Antonio Conte’s men.

“For all intents and purposes, it’s quite a matc, we have to do well in front of our fans and against the first place team in the standings. Tonight, we’ll be watched by all of Italy, we will lay all our effort on the field. Our ranking doesn’t satisfy us.”

“He’s one of the best defenders in the world, we’ve all discovered this at the international and club level this season, but we were aware of his quality for some time.”

Nico Lopez has disappointed a little?
“I don’t think so, he arrived in Udine so he can grow, not to become the top scorer in Serie A. Our club is perfect for him, he has done good things, but there’s a lot of competition here. I hope that next year he’ll still be with us and that he’ll devote himself to becoming a major player.”

Who deserves the Scudetto?
“It’s a good fight between Roma and Juventus, it’s captivating Italy. We are often accustomed to only one team mastering the entire league, luckily this year it’s not that way. The two teams are more or less on the same level. They are two war machines and have two great coaches. May the best win!”

“He’s the only player who won’t be available in the market next summer. I believe he’ll be with us next year.”
