De Laurentiis still hopes for 2nd place

Napoli president Aurelo De Laurentiis continues to believe that his team can beat out Roma for 2nd place in the Serie A table after his team’s 2-0 victory against Juventus at the Stadio San Paolo.

“It’s always special against Juve. After the victory, I came down to the dressing room and I promised a reward for second place. The match against Juve is always special and is always a challenge.”

De Laurentiis then went on to comment about the chaos that ensued in Naples after fans attacked Juventus’ team bus, “I would hate to talk about the healthy spirit of the fans because we’ll end up in a situation talking about education in Italian football.”
