Pallotta to dicuss Pjanic, Garcia extensions next week

Roma president James Pallotta is set to land in Roma on Monday ahead of Thursday’s presentation for the Giallorossi’s new stadium.

It appears, though, that the new stadium will not be the only order of business for the president, as he will also look to finalize and approve contract extensions for both Miralem Pjanic and manager Rudi Garcia, whose contracts expire in June 2015.

Pjanic, who is said to be a top priority of French club PSG, is reportedly in line for a pay increase that would see the Bosnian net €4m per season, nearly doubling his current wages.

Garcia, who joined Roma in the summer, has impressed thus far in his short time in the Italian capital — even being dubbed “Roma’s Sir Alex”. Roma will look to extend the Frenchman’s contract until 2018 in an attempt to hold off clubs such as PSG and Monaco, who have both been rumored to be interested in the former Lille man’s services.
