Pruzzo Not Convinced by Drogba

Giallorossi legend Roberto Pruzzo weighed in on the possibility of Ivorian striker Didier Drogba moving to the capital after rumors of interest from Roma in bringing the former Chelsea man to Trigoria.

“Drogba? We’re talking about a great striker, he’s certainly had a good career but he just turned 36 years old. Lets not forget that also in red is Totti who just turned 37. I would avoid him if I could. I would avoid him because when you talk about players who are up there in age, you never know what you’re going to get. Normally it happens from day to day, it’s not something they give you a notice about. If I was the manager of Roma, I’d look for a different player. Because also, what would you do with Destro? If Drogba arrived, he (Destro) would want to play, he’s not a player you can keep on the bench.”
