Gervinho: “Garcia Gives Me Confidence”

Ivorian winger Gervinho has, again, sung the praises of Roma’s French manager Rudi Garcia.

“My favorite manager is Rudi Garcia. When I train he gives me advice, and sends me confidence, I have shared many experiences with him. Garcia asks me not only to dribble, but to be effective. He asks me to make a difference, to defend, and to score, but also give a great effort on the field. The fans believe that when I have the ball at my feet that I can always create something good for the team. I’m happy with the warmth and affection from the fans who still recognize me in the street, even when I go around with a hood up. Roma is a city in love with football. Still, it has worked here and I hope it continues this way. I have to correct some of my flaws: this is the main thing, not the number of goals. When Totti is on the pitch we have a full understanding, sometimes there is no need to talk to understand each other.”
